The Madison Community Hospital has been recognized as one of the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals in the country by the National Rural Health Association. The Madison Community Hospital also ranked in the Top 20 Best Practices in Quality among all critical access hospitals in the United States. An awards ceremony will be held in October in Kansas City, Missouri.
The Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals list was based on ten areas of strength, including competitive strength, competitive intensity, market size and growth, population risk, cost, charge, quality outcomes, patient perspectives, and financial stability.
The National Rural Health Association, a non-profit organization working to improved rural health care, said it considers the Madison Hospital a good example of best practices in all of rural health care in the United States. Madison Community Hospital CEO Tammy Miller said the hospital is proud of the effort of its physicians and staff who have contributed to the hospital achieving the designation. Miller added that excellent local medical care is the top priority of the Madison Community Hospital now and for the future.

Madison Community Hospital and its 150 employees are dedicated to providing cost-effective, quality inpatient and outpatient healthcare services. This facility is certified by Medicare and Medicaid.
