Medical Services
The medical/surgical unit at the Madison Community Hospital provides quality care for patients admitted with illness, accidents, or surgery. Registered nurses and nursing assistants have basic life support and receive an extensive orientation and training program. R.N.'s are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. The team concentrates on providing the highest in nursing standards.
The staff provides care and support to families during all aspects of their illnesses. We strive to give the same attention to the patient and family as if they were our own. We respect privacy and work hard to maintain that trust between physician, family, and patients.

Madison Community Hospital is fortunate to have a general surgeon on its active medical staff. Dr. Robert Summerer performs traditional and laprascopic procedures. His office, Eastern Plains Surgical is also located in the hospital.
