Emergency Services
Madison Community Hospital's emergency department is staffed 24-hours per day by and on-call physician and/or P.A., as well as qualified staff including nursing, laboratory, radiology, and cardiopulmonary personnel. Our staff is trained to follow the Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification when the need arises. Staff members also are encouraged to attend workshops to keep current of the trends and treatment options.
Two treatment rooms are utilized to screen and treat patients for the emergency department. A lighted helipad is available for emergency transport. We also utilize our very competent ambulance crew for transport when necessary. We are fortunate to have two paramedics on staff, on the ambulance and in the emergency department.
